The origins of the red box that we all know goes back more than a century ago was in 1881 that Peter Sada, a restauranteur in Milano, studying innovative conversation methods, began to produce a stew of meat jelly and tinned. It was in 1923 that Gino Alfonso Sada, the son of Peter, began the real industrial production of canned meat in jelly, giving the product the name "SIMMENTHAL", drawing on the breed of the Simmen Valley in Switzerland.
